Retail Operations

Over 30 Years serving Nevada's public lands
Red Rock Gift Shop

Taking Memories Home

SNC operates retail gift shops inside visitor centers at Red Rock Canyon NCA, Spring Mountains NRA, and California Trail Interpretive Center for the sale of educational and interpretive items. This including publications, maps, visual aids, t-shirts with interpretive messages or images, handicrafts, jewelry, and other objects directly related to the interpretive and educational themes of the site we work at. Through professional and experienced retail management, visitors have access to the gear they need to safely explore, learn, and have fun.

Revenue from gift shop sales help fund interpretive & educational programs and special projects at these and other sites throughout Nevada.

Red Rock Canyon Coloring Book

Publishing

Southern Nevada Conservancy prides itself on also being a small, independent book publisher. Each year, we strive to produce at least one publication that aligns with our mission and can be sold at our gift stores or online gift shop.

Our past publications include a Jackson, the Red Rock Canyon Burro, a children’s book about our beloved ambassador for BLM’s Wild Horse & Burro Adoption Program; Before the Gold, a historical piece of nonfiction about early gold mining in northern Nevada; and The Red Rock Canyon Coloring Book with illustrations from public lands enthusiasts across the country.

We also publish maps in partnership with other nonprofits and the federal agency partners. Our latest map was the long-awaited Desert National Wildlife Refuge trail map produced with Friends of Nevada Wilderness and US Fish and Wildlife Service.

Locally Sourced Items

Supporting Local Artists

We source as much of our inventory from local and regional vendors as possible. Many items you’ll find at our gift shops are hand-crafted by local artisans and specifically for sale at local public lands gift shops.

Local Artist Allison Sosa

I love to share my art with public lands visitors. Most of my pieces are ornaments and magnets, hand-drawn animals and landscapes on cross-sections of limbs. I view Red Rock Canyon as an extension of my own back yard. Exploring the area calms my spirit as does drawing this amazing place.
