Recreation & Education
Discover and enjoy Red Rock Canyon.
With a landscape that is historically, ecologically, and geologically diverse, Red Rock Canyon stands out as Las Vegas's premier outdoor destination. As one of Nevada's leading land conservation nonprofits, the Southern Nevada Conservancy fosters opportunities for visitors and students to interact with and understand this special place.
We are a 501c3 Las Vegas nonprofit providing interpretive & educational programs and visitor services. The Conservancy works as a cooperating association partner with the Bureau of Land Management, providing services, public land conservation, and programs that enhance the visitor experience at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.
Become a sustaining Member Today. Starting at only $10 per month, you will join a passionate circle of stewards determined to preserve Nevada’s public lands by creating greater educational opportunities for kids, many starting at home before they even step on the trail.
Our Interpretive Programs team puts the natural and cultural world into context with thoughtful, imaginative activities designed to build curiosity, understanding, and fun. What better place to foster interest in STEM careers than in the great outdoors? What better time to encourage good stewardship of public lands than now?
We're honored to steward Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Just 17 miles west of Las Vegas, Red Rock offers breathtaking desert landscapes, red sandstone formations, and opportunities for hiking, rock climbing, wildlife viewing, and immersive outdoor experiences.

Your Support Matters
There is so much public land in Nevada, and so many people who only use a few small corners of it. I support the SNC because they help nascent outdoors-people spread their wings to explore further and more freely.

Being a member of SNC ensures that I stay informed of events and activities that occur on our public lands, as well as support environmental education efforts.
