Rosa Prasser
Site Operations Manager, Go Mt Charleston
programs@gomtcharleston.com
As a child, Rosa was outside all the time searching for reptiles, taking long hikes, building forts in the woods, playing in the snow, sleeping under the stars, and riding her bike to the creek. Her parents encouraged her to explore the outdoors and because of that, it feels like a second home. Rosa’s passion lies in teaching people about the outdoors, especially kids, and feels education is empowering and important to set children up for success so they can walk confidently in the future. Her forest and desert ecosystem programs incorporate science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. When not working on the mountain, Rosa can be found exploring the outdoors through birding, running, day hiking, backpacking, canoeing, skiing, and snowshoeing.

Ashton acts as Volunteer Coordinator primarily for Go Mt Charleston’s robust volunteer programs, serving over a thousand volunteers each year. They work with folks in the community who want to make a positive impact in the Spring Mountains. Ashton has lived in Nevada for three years and has come to love the area. They were inspired to be active in public lands after a school trip to Yosemite in high school. Since then they’ve done what they can to keep public lands healthy, and they love being able to enjoy the mountain while at work. When Ashton is not spending time with their partner and son, they enjoy painting and writing in their free time.
