Interpretive Kiosks
Helping federal agency partners put the public lands they manage in context, we have partnered on a number of small, local projects throughout the state that enhance the visitor experience and put the history of the area into context with interpretive exhibits and features that promote health and safety in the outdoors.
As part of the renovation of Red Rock Canyon NCA’s Red Springs Boardwalk, Southern Nevada Conservancy partnered with the Nevada Bureau of Land Management and a local artist to update the boardwalk’s inventory of interpretive kiosks. Incorporating BLM’s updated style for units of the National Conservation Lands, the panels highlight cultural, biological, and geological features that tell the story of this special area.
The renovation of Red Rock Canyon NCA’s Red Springs Boardwalk represents a collaborative effort to create a welcoming and educational environment for all visitors while preserving and celebrating the unique heritage of this iconic landscape. Through innovative design, technological advancements, and community involvement, the project aims to inspire a deeper appreciation for the natural world and promote responsible stewardship of our public lands.
What It Means To Be A Member
Sustained members of the Southern Nevada Conservancy may enjoy discounts and invitations to special events and adventures, but the greatest benefit is knowing the impact of their monthly gift. As little as $10 a month affords children the opportunity to learn the science behind the outdoors, participate in on-site education, and experience through the Junior Ranger program what it means to be responsible users of all public lands.
